After Care Program

We are happy you chose Saint Nicholas Catholic  School Aftercare Program for your child.  The extension of our day is a service to you and your family.  We will offer an environment where your child feels loved and safe; while providing a balance of relaxation and productivity.  Students will be offered snack, play time outside or in the gym depending on the weather, a time to read or work on homework, and an opportunity to play games and work on social skills.

The policies in the School Handbook will apply to the aftercare program as well as the additional specific policies for aftercare listed below. Hopefully, this will answer your questions.  Please feel free to be in touch with me if you have any questions.

Time Offered:  3:10 - 5:30 PM (during full school days)

Enrollment:  Students who are enrolled in Saint Nicholas Catholic School, Preschool through 8th grade, are the only students eligible to participate in the aftercare program.

Days of Operation:  It will begin the first day of school and conclude on the last day of school.  Aftercare will not be offered on early release days.

For the safety of our staff, we will not be open on snow days or early release days due to snow, so please plan accordingly.

Students who are absent from school or sent home due to illness will not be able to attend the aftercare program on that day.

Registration:  All registration fees are non-refundable.

Cost:  The program is $10.00 per day per registered student. (The session time is from 3:10 - 5:30.)

Program fees must be up-to-date or your student will not be allowed to continue in the program.  A $10.00 fee per child will be charged for every additional 15 minutes after 5:30 p.m. Both the payment and the schedule for the following week is due on the preceding Friday or last day of the school week.  There are no refunds for missed days.

Pick-up:  Main School Entrance (Saint Nicholas Cafeteria)
Parent or guardian will need to go to the cafeteria and sign the student out. Each parent will receive one key card to get into the building. People other than parents or guardians picking up students will need to supply a photo I.D.  Your child is considered picked up when you sign the sign out sheet and take your child from the classroom.

Changes in Schedule:  If your aftercare schedule changes, please notify the school office, your student’s homeroom teacher, and the aftercare teacher that day to ensure your student gets home safely.
